The story of AYH Steps began in Penang when our founder noticed a recurring frustration among working women: gorgeous shoes that became intolerable after just two hours of wear. Most high-street footwear prioritized superficial trends over anatomical support, leaving women to endure blisters, cramped toes, and aching arches. We believed that women deserved far better, and that true design excellence begins with how a shoe feels when you are on your feet all day.
To turn that vision into reality, we spent over a year working with seasoned shoemakers and foot comfort specialists. We dissected traditional footwear construction, replacing rigid baseboards with flexible shock-absorbing soles and replacing harsh synthetic linings with cloud-soft microfibres. We developed custom last shapes that accommodate natural foot expansion throughout the day, ensuring that pointed toes look sleek while still giving toes room to breathe.
Every pair of AYH Steps shoes is produced with meticulous attention to detail. We hand-inspect stitch tension, test sole adhesives under high-humidity conditions, and select premium vegan leathers that resist scuffs while softening beautifully over time.
